I have kyb agx struts, RSR race springs, and after knowing someone that used the same combo (a while ago, can't get in touch with him), I purchased some cusco camber plates. The top nut fits fine and all, its just that the spring upper plate seems like its banging off the camber plates/strut tower when I hit bumps. Can anyone give me any advice on how to cute this? maybe a spacer or something would do the trick, but I'd like to speak to someone who has used camber plates on struts before.

I think they should have come with a spacer for the bottom of the plate. My Tein camber plates came with em. I had to check with tein first though, some companies make the camberplates as replacement for coilovers wich dont need the spacer.

what did the spacer look like? I figured that this was the case, and I guess I'll have to find/make something that will work if i want to keep them.

it was just a thick cylindrical washer that was ~1" tall or so that fit around the strut rod. i wish i had taken pics of the install, or was doing some suspension work soon, because i could pull em apart and measure the thing for sure. where did you get your camber plates from? you may want to contact them and see if you should have recieved the spacer. I could have sworn I saw some cusco plates on ebay a while ago that had the spacers with them

my nut is around .75" tall or so, much longer than a normal nut, but not, apparently, long enough to space it out. I bought them from a private seller who warned me that he didn't think they would fit struts...course I always think I know best, look where it gets me.

I think I'm gonna buy a beater and swap in a stock ka when I can work on it again (maybe this summer)if I see a deal on another 240 I'd probably get it though, but they have gone way up lately.I'm thinking maybe early 90's nissan sentra right now. reliable, cheap, easy on gas. thats what I need right now. I'd really like to get a truck, that way I could tow the 240 around when stuff like the above happened.lolbut I sold the camber plates, more of a hassle than they were worth. I'll buy some of the right ones later if I decide to keep them. I had my alignment done with the stock plates and the guy said my camber isn't so bad that it needs the plates anyway (for normal driving). However, with the RSR race springs and the stock tops, the car sits up awful high in the front so its probably close to stock. it sure looked a lot better with the camber plates (they lower about 1.5" themselves, I'd say).
