camber kit

hi everyone. i have a 95 240sx and i am planning on lowering it. i was told to buy a camber kit aling with the springs and shocks. do i really need the camber plates? or can i just take it to an alignment shop?

alignment won't do anything if you have a bad camber. I dropped my s13 1.9 inches and don't have any noticeable negative camber, however i'm told s14's generally needs them. The only true way to tell is when it's lowered if the wheels aren't straight up, they'll point inwards. If you do have this you will NEED to fix the camber for 2 reasons.

1. Your tires will wear out in a matter of months, not years because most of the pressure will be on the inside half of the tire.

2. Not all of your tire will be touching the pavement, so your traction will suck, meaning your tired will squeal more, and you will lose control a lot easier.

Definately the right investment. Depends on how much you lower it, and the car. You can judge it yourself once you've lowered it, keep money aside because it's without doubt a good and safe idea.
