Is there any way to fix the rear camber on a 240 without using those stupid whiteline kits. I know on Hondas/Acuras you can just add washers to the camber arm and it costs like 50 cents. If there is a way please let me know how to do it. It would be greatly appreciated :D

Thanks,

Will

there is a way that you can simply notch the arm. i saw a step-by-step somewhere but i cant remember where. you would be better off to go with the whiteline kit. the notch isnt a permenent fix and if you do hard driving its not good at all. with the whiteline you will have the benefit of correct camber and polyurathane bushing which will help your handeling

the problem is that I have the sportline springs and it gives me about 1.5-2.0 degrees negative camber.....the whiteline only corrects .75 degrees. and im not about to pay $60 for it to do nothing. Theres gotta be a way.

yeah there is. like i said look under the "installs" section of this site. it explains in detail how to "slot" your upper arm to remove the - camber.

there is a way to fix the camber up to 1.3 degrees in the rear. All you have to do is turn the ecentric bolt on the upper control arm to the correct degree! No frickin $120 waisted on those peice of anus rip off bushings! I knew there was a way! I simply went to a local allignment shop and asked. Well for all of you that didnt know there it is thanks for the help anyways, anyone from Georgia?

are you guys just not seein it. LOOK IN THE INSTALLS SECTION. it shows how to do it. you have to slot the upper control arms. it will mean disassembling your rear suspension but it will fix your rear suspension.

The problem I see with slotting them is that you don't have a lot of metal to grab onto, to keep the assembly from shifting around over time. If it can move, it will move.

Does anyone have long-term experience with slotting the control arms?

It moves, trust me. Not a viable option unless you're a grandma driver. The only other way to make it work would be to weld a washer in place on the arm after slotting it, but the accuracy in the hole and the weld would vary.

I am from Atlanta. And the OE adjustaments aren't near enough to correct -1.3 degrees. I have Cusco upper and lower arms on my car, so I can get -6.0 degrees. Great for autocrossing.

i dropped my car about 1.25"-1.5". The rear camber was corrected using stock parts, no camber kit. I used 2 camber correction bushing for the front, and my ride seems to handle well. I know I didn't go as low as you guys, but the shop said all is well. I don't really think camber kits for the rear are necessary unless you are running coil overs, IMO.

just me tho

I just got done and the rear camber IS NOT adjustable. I guess I will just have to order the bushings. Man, This sucks, Im definately not going to slot out the holes so this is my last resort, and I have threads showing on my rear tires so I have to do something quick

man sounds like maybe you should have invested in some tires before you went out n bought a suspension!!!! you may have a lower an better handling 240 but what happens when your tires go an you cant drive,. then you dont make it to work you loose your job, your too broke to pay your rent, then you have to pawn your PS2 and computer. you pay rent but utilities are do then, you have to sell the car an you gota sell cheap cause its got flat bald tires..... youve screwd your self !!!

Well :D when I get my camber fixed then I get to put on my 17 x 7.5 Tenzo Passion 5's (Gunmetal) With Yokohama AVS 100's (215/45/17 in front and 235/45/17 in rear!) But I am not putting them on until I get my camber fixed because those tires arent cheap!

Well If your looking for a quality fix and maximum performance either the Cusco (mentioned above) or JIC-Magic adjustable arms are an excellent choice.
