i'm a Ford and Nissan guy but i got to admit the new camaro does look pretty nice. it's also pretty quick (the V6 is supposed to have 300 hp) so its much much faster then your 2.5 CVT and especially if you were to get a 6mt.... sooo looks and speed are the pros.... the cons, you'll lose a lot of money from the trade in, the value of american cars drops like crazy, i HATE the interior.... i'm happy with my 3.5se (a couple mods and its up there with the V6 camaro) and it has a much much nicer interior IMO. your choice but thats just my .02

oh and happy new years to you too

Ok here's what I think (since its a subjection call)....Its a rear wheel drive, its a 2+2 like ours....its about the same price as the 3.5 and slightly faster. It'll be tough to drive in the snow.

Ultimately up to you, great lookin car, fast...cheap interior (just like ours)...

Enjoy either, hell the RAM 4x2 is faster than the 3.5 now...yeah its true 5.7 sec

Edmunds tested the new ram (4x4 though) and it got 15.6 in the 1/4 mile

http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/r....html

so thats significantly slower then the 3.5se.... i know edmunds has slow drivers but its the only one i could find, i'm interested to see how fast it really is... they said there test car was 5,740 pounds and every 10 pounds equals about 1 hp and the 3.5se CVT A/C weighs 3,200 pounds... soooo theres a 2,540 pound difference which means it needs an EXTRA 254 hp to perform like the 3.5se? lol that doesn't sound right lol that would mean it needs roughly 524hp... anyone care to put some input here? because i'm really interested in the performance specs (my father is going to buy a new truck soon).

I was actually going to get the camaro V8 version if it was out when I got my coupe...I love the look of the car and it sounds fantastic - its one car i feel that GM won't screw up because of the loyalty behind it.

Um, I think they must have been reviwing a different truck the RAM 4x2 SPort pulls 0-60 in 5.7 sec and 1/4 mile in 14.4. Motortrend and TruckTrends.

I think the big question is that do you really want to purchase a car from a company that may not even be in business in March?

the company is on its kneee, begging for its survival, and folks are leaving Japanese cars to go with a company with skid marks on its knees...at least wait until they get bailed out first.... if they get bailed out

Here's the TruckTrend article

http://www.trucktrend.com/road....html

oh and don't worry the 2010 or 2011 Titan will be getting the 5.7L 390hp/407ft-lb engine...yeah I know, I loved my Titan 5.6 and I thought it was pretty fast for a 1/2 ton but nah the Tundra came along and then the new RAM which is faster than most cars.

Yeah I know Nissan and Chysler are teaming up.

That RAM truck would run the A/C 3.5 6MT very close if not beat it.

I do miss my Titan though!

i found a better option which i'm in the process of convincing my dad. one of my local dealerships has a 3.5se A/C that i wanna trade mine in. upsides: the 3.5 is 6spd and is a bigger enginedownside: the 3.5 is 08(mine is 09) and is has 26k miles on it

regardless i'm willing to do that trade in so hopefully it works out for me

what do you guys think?

the only ram test i found was of a 4x4 with 4 full size doors and weighed more then a tank lol this one is pretty quick but it wont beat a 3.5se MT (if the person knows how to drive good).... i got a 14.4 stock with my 3.5se CVT but got higher MPH, like 98 MPH or something like that.... which means off the line the ram will take us but after a while the 3.5se A/C will come back (at about 100 MPH we'll pull ahead)... i wonder if the new Titan will be faster.... wasn't it one of the lighter trucks? which made it so fast... if the new Titan weighs about the same as the old one but with the ram motor, it could get low 14s and with bolt ons, 13's

Oh yeah, trim's make a huge difference in trucks. I'm just saying damn, that's a quick truck for not being a lightning or SRT-10 etc. wouldn;t take much to put that Hemi is the low 5's and high 13's...

but like I said stay tuned the Nissan Titan will be getting the HEMI very soon. Don't know if that's good or bad yet...I always thought the my 5.6 Titan was more of a "hemi" than the actual hemi anyway...

It's not really that big an issue - the UAW and the top brass at GM, Ford, etc would like you to think it is though. If congress doesn't bail them out, the White House will. It goes back to the whole "too big to fail" issue. A total GM collapse would send the industrial sector of this country into total dissarray. Workers laid off, supply chains destroyed (causing smaller parts manufaturers to go under), raw material issues, etc...

The worst that will happen is that GM will go Chapter 11 and restructure, which will ultimately put them in the same spot, but doing it much leaner than before. I wouldn't worry about the company not being there to back your new Camaro.

We should have forced them to go Chapter 11, let a judge not a "car czar" make the decisions, make the stock holders the boss and make the UAW disappear.

But that's why I buy American, by that I mean Japanese...
