Ok, I got some cam seals from Napa and I'm not sure if I got the correct seals or not. I told them it was for an 88 pulsar NX SE (1.8 litre) So all should be well, but the seals I got don't just have the regular donut shape that I expected. The main part of the seal is exactly like what I pulled out of the engine, but there are a few extra bits. A piece that is on the outside of the seal that looks to function as a cap to keep them from being pushed in too far and on top of that is a small flexible skirt that looks like it would seal against the plate that goes over the cams and timing area.

Has anyone else gotten cam seals from napa? Could anyone tell me if I got the right ones that are just a little better engineered?

Thanks! :D

Rereading that post, I think a visual aid would help :)

Sorry for the bump... Couldn't attach to the old post with an edit...

neve seen ones like that before, but if they fit they look like they might seal better.

Leaky cams seals are a common problem.

so you think I just just give it a shot and put em in? I know they'll fit in the holes. It's leaking later on due to incorrect parts that I'm really worried about.
