Cam retainer

I broke a bolt on the middle cam retainer and cant drill it.. Cani make due without the bolt or should i just leave that retainer off?

drill and tap, you should not run the engine with a missing cam cap, you stand a very high chance of unbalancing the cam and locking up the engine, you don't want to lock up an engine running at RPMs, it makes a big boom and empties your bank account.
