im looking into getting cams for my car. i dont want re ground cams because i dont want to have to replace shims and adjust valve lash. who all besides jwt makes cams for the 240 that are not re grinds. also, how hard it the instal? it seems really easy, just let me know what you think.

I did this. The car lasted 25 minutes before it jumped timing and bent the valves. My fault, not the mod's fault.

Nonetheless.... I had an Altima intake cam and a '91 exhaust cam and noticed a huge difference in the car. It was great.

Til it died. :)

It's actually a very easy mod, just take the time to do it right and make sure you have your f'ing torque specs.

can someone please post the torque specs for the bolts. also, do i pretty much just unbolt the old ones and bolt the new cams in? is it that simple, or is there anything that i have to adjust? i just dont want the same thing that stickgoat had happen.

the exact torque specs i have to look at. the cams towers im sure are like 8.7ftlbs but i went to 10ftlbs (whats suppose to be hte first adjustment on my torque wrench). the cam sprocket is 120 sum ftlbs. the only thing u could watch out for is the timing marks. makes ure hte engine is on TDC whenu start. keep all the marks aligned when u put it back together. im not sure how exactly stickgoat messed up his head

If I remember right, SHE didn't torque the bolts down enough and they came out? Something in that ballpark?

[/quote]As far as I know of, only Nissan motorsports (NISMO) cams. PDM and Gude are regrinds. But the JWT cams are more agressive than the NISMO cams.

If you mark everything correctly and torque everything as the FSM says, it's a very easy job. Here's my little problems I had when doing the install:

JWT cam install

I've done this so many times now that the job is literally under 1.5 hours.
