Through all my searching ive found out that 248/232 is prefered over 248/248 because it does not lose the low end, i was about to pick up some 264/264 cams as was wondering does that mean im only going going to get highend and lose even more low end?

well yeah, just like almost every modification youc an do to a motor:

you can rarely get gains everywhere on the board. big duration cams like that are always going to lose low end power in exchange for top end.

cam gears can USUALLY be used to help shift your torque curve, but sometimes specialized cams with large durations end up with less than expected results with gears.

whats cams are those? are thsoe the ones from the off-road site?
