Does anyone know how to unplug the connector from the cam position sensor? I have a code P0340 and need to troubleshoot it. Thanks

there's diy search for it on "cam shaft position sensor"

The green connector has a tab on the connector that has to be pulled out before you can disconnect the connector.

The problem I am having is that my 04 Maxima will run about 3 or 4 miles and then stall. It is hard to restart but will start. Once it starts it runs fine except that it is stuck in 5th gear. I put it on a reader and it called out code P 0340. It is saying it is on bank one. Is that the front bank or the rear one? As soon as the rain stops I am gong to ohm out the sensor. Replace if I have to. from there it has been suggested to start checking the wire harness. Should I do all this or just put it in shoP?

need to replace both cam shaft sensors, don't just replace one as once goes the other one follows, so just replace both banks- passenger side is 1 and drive side is 2.
The reason it's made difficult :chuckle: so it doe not pop out itself. and normally cam shaft sensor last a long time 60 miles or more. good luck

oh and the motor sets sideways so it is front and back not driver/passenger. Still I will replace both.
