So far I know of JUN, tomei, and HKS. What are in you opinion the best out there? Also what about cams from a diffrent year/Car? Budget options?

I've seen good results from the HKS 264 inlet cam.

The best budget option is a custom regrind. I'm gonna go this route for my NA CA. I'm looking at about $250 per cam with all the shipping.

Here's some info I got direct from JUN a while back:

Since JUN USA has closed down, we are dealing with the customer in the US directly from JUN Auto Japan. You can order by FAX and purchase our products directly from Japan.

Or you can get our products from tuning shop or distributor in the USA area. However we currently do not have any authorized dealers in the USA area.

Regrettably we can not refer a specific tuning shop or distributor..... However we think that you can find tuning shop or distributor by internet.

Our ALL CA18DE cams is required head clearance processing.

Here is the reference for you.The exchange rate for today is USD1.00/JPY117.13 You can get USD amount by dividing the total Yen price with JPY117.13

i dont think HKS and TUST make CA18 parts anymore,

JUN and TOMEI are your best options i think.

Quote »I've seen good results from the HKS 264 inlet cam.[/quote] I use both intake and exhaust cam in my g/f's car and they are nice. The JUN camshafts I have are beautiful to look at, but I got some camshafts that bigger than those. I'll save these for my stroker motor; now to get the other built engine into a car.

_______________________I've seen good results from the HKS 264 inlet cam.----------------------I see DSM guys run 264intk / 272exh often and list idle quality as their reason... dunno about that logic.someone else on the uk forum posted they got quite a noticable gain by swapping only the inlet cam, for a Tomei? 260°.Having more duration on the intake than the exhaust, was how turbo cams were done way back. These results are more like I expect.A member on the starion list got a veteran cam grinder to design/make some cams for the turbo 2.6 and thats exactly what he came up with, based on his vast experience - more duration on intake. They work.I'm gonna try this with an adjustable gear (hopefully an inexpensive moded stock gear). Don't wanna get into high lift, stiff springs, solid lifters.... or any of that stuff.. just enough spring pressure to get the job done. If stock will do that'll be fine.

If going after regrinds, make sure you get feedback from an end user on the cam. I had Crower do a cam for my 3tc that wasn't worth 5hit. Replaced it with an Isky, no other changes, and was blown away by how that cam performed. When rpms reached the specified 'power band', the corolla pinned u to the seat. Its great when things work as advertised, and Isky definitely know what they were doing - Proof that u can get reasonable priced excellent performing camshaft for your import, ground right here in the good ol' u.s. of a. When u read all the DSM bashing about Crowers, it all adds up.

hell yeah! man I love having money... the good thing is that I have enough to get at least the intake cam at retail cost(I have roughly $350 to spend on this...) but it sure would be nice to get them both for under $400!:)

ehh, I don't actually have enough money for either of them at the moment... forgot I haven't paid for my gasket set or rings yet (doh!) so either could be yours if you have the $! I'll hold off till NismoFreak starts carrying tomei stuff, and I'll get a tomei intake cam:D
