hi allme again lol

what are some optons when it comes to the ca18det cams?

i have heard of using one the ca18de cams and using 2 exhaust cams.

but has anyone tryed these or ar there anyother cams poeple have tryed?

You are correct, you can use CA18DE cams or two DET exhaust cams, although you will need to adjust the cam timing on the intake side for the two-exhaust-cam trick.

As for other options, you can get camshafts from a number of companies. JUN, HKS, and Tomei being the big ones, but they are becoming harder to find these days (Tomei not so much as the others).

Anything up to about 9mm lift you can get away with stock lifters and stuff, but more than that and you will have to spring for a set of solid lifters (VG30DET solid lifters work, you just end up with extra).

Do some searching on here and you will find all kinds of information on camshaft selection.

i can get my hands on a set of camsthat have been reground from a company herein N.Z but they have 272 degrees of lift .

do you think that will be to much?

ok so i just bought somecams 2nd hand from kelford cams here in n.zthey are reground ca18det cams with272 degrees of lift and less the 200 kms on themfor $130 n.z

so im happy with that

Yeah there a a few camshft options out there..

Were you supplied any more information other than duration?
