iwas trying uninstalling the timing chain guide today, because of the rattling noise.I was going step by step with the instrution on HOW TO: fix your timing chain rattle.I have my motor on TDC position.I noticed the #1 cylinder's cam lobe was facing inward, but the instrution mention they should be facing outward. the car was running fine.can anybody help?

The cams rotate at half crank speed, and since it is a 4 stroke engine, the cams have a different position at TDC in the compression stroke, and TDC at the exhaust stroke. That's perfectly normal.
