cam help REALY CONFUSED!

so ive been reading up on the whole s13 cam (248), and the altima cam (240)! the problem comes because im not sure if im suppose to just drop them in the exact same spots (IVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE)! am i going to loose low end, keep mid and gain in the high end? what happens because im hearing a bunch of different things! i have the cams in front of me so im just curious! can anyone gimmie a hand?

if the altima cam is an intake cam, just drop it in the intake side. if the s13 cam is an exhaust cam, then just drop into the exhaust side. you lose low end but gain some high end. i sure hope youre swapping these cams into a S14??

i dont think u can use the altima cam man, if i remember correctly they are single chain and 240's have dual chain cams so they would b slightly different in that regard

well... ive never seen it for myself but SOME people have said theyve used altima cams before... but im not sure of it.

ive heard of the altima cam experiment, dont remember who on here did it but they blew their motor so just get aftermarket of 91 cams, JWT's site has a step by step install with pics

still not sure if you can actually pull this swap off though

if its an S14 i say leave the exhaust cam where it is, then buy an S13 exhaust cam and rotate it anti-clockwise four teeth to work on the intake side

or try 248/240 so i dont have to

oh shoot! kinda scared now i dont have alot of money if i blow this motor cuz im in school. ive herd of this swap being done but never herd of him/her blowing the motor! HAS ANYONE DONE THIS BEFORE?????? IS IT RISKY!!!!!!!!!

i think they were talking about using the altima cams something happened. if u use s13 cams and install correctly there should be no worry at all.
