Hey guys, I was just wondering for those of you with adjustable cam gears in your SR20's, what you have your cams set at? I JUST got done throwing in a set of Tomei 256 Poncams and adjustable cam gears and wanted to see what you guys are setting your cams at? i.e. intake cam is advanced xx degrees, exhaust cam is retarded/advanced xx degrees.

It was easy to adjust on my friend's car because the gears were EASILY accessible (Neon), but on the SR you gotta take the valve cover off each time So I wanted to see what others were setting theirs at to get in the ball park. Later!

How lame! I guess nobody has adjustable cam gears and aftermarket cams in their SR20's?

I'd let you guys know if I knew what the SR liked the best with Tomei 256's...c'mon!

Well, looks like it's just you and me... on a better forum I found some answers from reputable sources. Basically what they were saying was Tomei spent lots of time and $$ developing the cams for "drop in" and that you won't see much difference messing with the cam gears since it was designed as such....not saying you won't see ANY difference if you tweak it on a dyno, just not much. So anyways, mine seems to run great with the gears set at '0' on both.
