Interested in na ka performance, and running a KA E with Side Intake(short ram where the battery used to be), HS Header, PS Delete, AC Delete, 12lb flywheel, and soon to be ASP underdrive pulley. Looking into cams for my start on getting into the motor.

DeviousKA is selling one with 270/272 while PDM's is close at 268/272. Lift is really close, (442 Int L, 448 Exh L).

I actually see more potential n Devious's SL than PDM's.

I want 180whp when done with it. I was looking into a 30 overbore and 10.5:1 compression.

Also looking for 310/370 top feeds. .... it will be sprayed eventually.

The 260 top feeds are supposed to run out at 153rwhp anyways.

HKS 264 w/ some GReddy valve springs, or HKS valve springs. Or HKS 272s. I personally like the HKJS cams, but that's just me.

Hey lighten up guy, anyone can make that mistake. i almost thought you were talking about the DE until i reread your post. mistakes dont make you a newb, nor do they infer that you are talking out of your ***. with your reply, i came under the impression that you were more of an idiot than the other guy.

Secondly, reading Devious' website carefully would have provided you with the answer you are looking for.

Thirdly, since i figure i have a little brain power contained in my skull i will reply to your post with this:

"Camshafts are reground and require simple machine work to the camshaft bearing cap/tower. When used with the Solid Adjustable Lifter Conversion machine work mentioned above is not necessary."

Taken directly from Devious' site, with a little thinking i would figure that this means that you DO NOT have to use solid lifters, though it will require a little bit of machine work to make the stock ones work.

I didnt ask about that. Considering HKS and Greddy dont make cams for DE, he still doesnt make sense. Those companies make cams for SR. Second I know how to make them work. Mill the cam towers .25. The solid lifer conversion should allow the ka to spin higher, Up to 7000rpm, should be safe, the DE does it.

I apoligize for not editing my post, I read ther bottom part of his page after I posted this. I know they are re grinds. I was comparing the two for lift and duration.

Second, the solid lifter conversion allows adjustability and setting for valve lash. Am I correct in saying(if rpm limiter on E is removed, I could spin to 7000 like the DE? Assuming the intake manifold is able to make any power that high.

I plan on running side drafts later on.

well i think jim wolf tech. makes cams for the KA(dual cam) but i dont know of they make a cam for the single cam but just remember when buying a cam sometimes (unles you are dumping in a lot of money at one time) buying the biggest cam out there will not give your car the most power sometimes youll decrease power. but dont get me wrong 2.4L of N/A power sounds awsome in the high RPM's but sometimes whats better having it sound good or beating the guy with a honda and his hot g/f sittin next to him and impressing her. i have talked to a lot of old school hot rodders and they all gave me the same advice as im giving you in your quest for cams.
