Hi everyone,
I have a 1989 s13 with an RB20DET. I'm currently trying to figure out why it won't start. I bought the car about 3 weeks ago and it ran fine up until last week Friday when a friend got in and accidentally kicked the ecu wires (tuned ecu w/ emanage). When I tried to start it, it would crank, but would not fire. Upon inspection of the wires (I figured something was up because my emanage was offline), i found that a ground had come loose.
After plugging that back in, the emanage worked fine, and I got MAF and TPS readings, so I figured the ecu; etc was alright. After working on it every free moment I've had since then, I've pretty much narrowed it down to either the Ignitor or the CAS.
I'm leaning more towards the ignitor because I am 100% positive that it isn't getting any spark, and I think that the injectors are firing. Either way, I overnighted a Z32 ignitor retrofit kit from courtesy nissan, but I want to make sure I can get this thing up and running ASAP since it is my daily driver. With gas prices so high and the fact that my second car is my '66 Buick which gets 9ish mpg and uses 93 octane plus octane booster, and I drive 80miles/day round trip to work, I figure if I can order a CAS and get it overnighted as a backup plan, it's worth it.
Now for my question, which CA Sensors are compatible with the RB20DET? The reason I ask is that I seem to be able to find other ones cheaper such as the SR20det one.
I also have 1 other question, can anyone tell me which injector goes to which cylinder and which side of the injector pigtails goes to the ecu and which side goes to the 12v source? (the fsm is a bit sketchy and I haven't yet found something that tells me for sure)
Here is how I currently have it wired.
BTW, I did search, but only came up with one thread in relation and it was about cam/crank angle sensor removal.
Thanks in advance,-Gary
