i took y cam angle sensor off yesterdat to get the timing belt cover and valve cover powder coated. So now i go and read that ppl do the same thing all the tie but when they re-install it the timing messes up.Have i already messed up because ive already set timing on my 3000gt 3 times and dont really want to go through that again. I marked the space around the screws so i would know were it would go back so what im trying to say is did i mess up or im i okay?

A timing light is a great investment. And if you are broke, just buy one and take it back after you set the timing. yeah, its ghetto, but so are most s13s.

Sorry noob here. How do you set up a timing gun? I have advance timing so would I need to pick up an advantage timing gun? Sorry if this has been covered... but I want a detailed write up.

wth is an "advantage timing gun" some kind of brand?

connect the timing gun with 12v, put the pickup on the coil harness white wire that feeds cyl 1, start the car, disconnect a few things (tps, iac), shine the light, adjust the cas to match what you want to set your base timing to.
