i have a s13 black top. can anyone give me a detailed describtion of the Cam angle sensor placement when timing the s13 black top. I,ve seen the tread that gives the dot placement and instructions. My question is when you start the alignment using the right dot where should the left dot end up............There are directions in the s14 service manual but as you know they give the wrong timing mark akignments for the s13

ok here it gos. First you crank the engine top dead center which should be the second mark from the left on the crank, then you get the cas there are two dots you start whit the right dot first. If you look into the hole were the cas goes at there should be a mark. Aline the right dot to that mark and slide in the cas slowly ones the cas is fully in there the left dot should now be aliened whit the mark then screw on the bolts and youre done. Then after you should check it whit a timing gun to see if its wright, when checking whit the timing gun the crank should now be marking on the second mark on the right if its not the loosen the cas and move it intill it does. goodluck

11 days later... yea what he said. When I installed my CAS and the dots lined up, there was a teeeeny notch on the edge of the disk inside that lined up perfectly with the top screw. but i had to fight the gasket back on cuz it expanded the second i took the cover off.
