Ive been deciding to change my mind on what turbo to use for my KA-T setup.I would only be running about 10-12 lbs with 550cc injectors. Would this turbo be suitable for my setup.

I just dont wanna experience a ton of lag. Also when do you suppose i would be reaching full boost with this turbo at 10lbs?

Thanks guys, your help is much appreciated

That turbo would be fine for your goals if it wasnt a made in China piece, that is WAY overpriced for what it is. I bought a rebuilt t3/t4 50 trim .63 ar Garrett for less than that on ebay from a private seller. Save up the extra cash, and get a name brand turbo thats not made in china. Its luck of the drawl with those things, its just not worth the hassle. If your looking at spending close to 500, take time and spend another 200-300 and buy a real turbo.

It looks good but I would agree with 480sx.The turbo is the main part of your setup so I would spend a little more and buy a quality one.Besides, if you're looking to save money, you wouldn't on that one because it's meant for an external gate. That equals more parts to buy and plumbing to do.

dont buy that turbo. You can get a used or rebuilt trusted Garrett turbo for cheaper

That's a good size turbo for the KA if you want minimal lag.

just the looks from the auction pics are .....the machining on the turbine housing.......the wastegate port should be MUCH better cleaned and deburred, but then again i am a machinist so i kinda look for that type of stuff

BTW i got my Garrett T3/T04E for $340 on ebay freshly rebuilt(by garrett) and balanced
