I was informed that a few minor upgrades to my KADE would be a great low cost way to gain some power but i am kinda skeptical, so i would like some help to figure out fact or fiction on them, any help would be appreciated, btw i have searched on #1-3 but not 4 so if its an easily searchable item im sorry to be a n00bish pester1. Q45 TB on the KA24DE would be a small inexpensive upgrade and was wondering if anybody here knew of this little "trick"2.The Camshafts from an S13 will add some ponies to an S14, as when they upped compression from 9.5:1 to 10:1 they made them cam profiles less aggressive3. Taking all the plumbing from the intake filter box forward and leaving the two large hole in the airbox will yield hp and throttle response4. Using 2 S13 Exhaust cams but retard the one for the intake side 4 teeth will add serious top end performance

as for # 3....just buy a K&N Filter and put it on the stock tubing.

1) Q45 throttle body - I have buddies who have done this when going KA-T. I assume it will require a retune as your motor will be consuming alot more air, causing it to lean out. So thats not so cheap.

2)s14 cams are 232/232 duration. Replace the intake cam with an s13 exhaust cam, making it 248/232 and giving it more punch throughout the powerband. Read up here: zerothread/152578

4)Why was this hard to search for? It's in the Tech Articles section. http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=158170Some ppl like 248/232 better than 248/248 and vice versa. And some ppl prefer to regrind the original s13 setup instead (240/248). But I don't have any info on that last one...
