I emailed the company regarding the circuit sport bar...

I have yet to hear back from them.

Nope. You don't want it to touch when the engine torques, so you need 1/16" clearance at a minimum.

Greg.

Do you know the clearance it has over the stock plenum?

1/2" or 5/16" the largest spacer you can fit?

hmmm i think the largest spacer you could fit would be the 5/16 motordyne one. even with that u need a coupe of extra washers to not touch anything

I have seen the circuit sport installed on a 350z with a 5/16" spacer...no washers used.

Maybe its time to get the Kinetix V+

For the love of God, don't put spacers under the FSTB mounts. That thing takes a crap-ton of stress, and you're messing with structural integrity.

Also, on the G, you'll get into hood clearance issues (mine rubs the hood insulation panel).

The taller spacer is not providing you enough additional gain to justify it.

I switched from the Kinetix V+ to the SSV (but for other reasons).

For what it's worth, my Kinetix V+ also touched the FSTB.

the V+ also rubbed huh? how much? Is it not worth it to have the V+ then?

I like the idea of the circuit sport FSTB but I dont like that I have to eliminate the plenum spacer.

I wouldnt space out the strut bar, i'm just talking about spacers for the plenum.

I did a little grinding on the V+ and it seemed fine, esp after I added the torque damper.

Don't mention torque dampers now John couldn't install his yet due to some unforeseen BS.... lol

So, problem is the 5/8 Blox spacer is too high right? That's what you currently run.

Perhaps you should just get some custom strut bar designed for your car?

I know a friend who made one for his 240sx, looked nice too. just something to consider, where there's a will there's a way.

hey i was just doing some research on the gt spec braces. the front tie brace seems to be in the way of the oil drain plug, so whenever you do an oil change, it will spill on the bar. i was wondering if its the same with the circuit sport or not? is there more clearance in the front or is it the same design as gt spec.

Circut sport and GT Spec use the same design on that part.

The GT Spec FSTB will not clear the plenum with a 5/8" spacer. I had the FSTB, and gave it to G_Whizz.

As Greg said, DO NOT put washers under the FSTB, to raise it up. You take a chance of popping the nuts off and having the strut fall out of it's mount.
