ok so ive had both phones. in sept i went out and bought Evo4g, ruturned it for the samsung EPIC4g. for the epic i decided to do the 30-day trial.

pros(EVO)
-fast browsing
-comes loaded with nice apps
-android 2.29(i.e- fryo)
-8mp camera with flash,,blah, blah
-8gig sd card
-made by htc, feels really nice
-can be rooted easily
-nice browser

cons(EV0)-
-doesnt play all video formats
-battery life is terrible
-when downloading to sd card, wont let u rename the file(prolly becuase of android software)
-needs certain tweaks to make life easier
-lags a little

EPIC(pros)-
-right out of the box, its blazing fast
-comes with a 16g sd card
-2.1 modded android OS(i.e-humming bird)
-keyboard
-swype software
-super amoled screen
-amazing graphics
-very responsive
-loud speakers
-this phone does not lag period
-has amazing battery life. factory charge lasted 7.5hrs while under heavy use

cons(EPIC)-
-also doesnt play all video formats
-gps is kinda crappy
-unlike my tp2, this keyboard is weak
-feels very light..samsung needs to step it up
-should of came with android 2.2, would of kept it if it did
-also cant rename files when downloading files to sd card
-signal for some reason is terrible..had better signal with my tp2
-has 5mp camera, shoulda came with 8mp like the EVO.

so theres my reviews. i really loved both phones. but i ended up with the EVO again. we ll see if HTC will consider the Galaxy S phones and make better quality product. i wonder why samsung would rush the design of such a high end phone  so now id like to hear what you peeps have to say about the EVO or EPIC by sprint

also the epic is $265.00 with upgrade if you already have a contract. i chose best buy for both phones and they dont charge you the BS restocking of fee($41.00) if you decide to return. make sure its within the 30-days or you re stuck with each phone for 2yrs

the evo is $199.00+tx with in-store instant rebate/new 2-yr contract
