Alright, I'm going S14 SR, and I am most likely going to go with the CX Racing intercooler piping kit. But here's the deal, it's made for a 30x11x3 intercooler.

I decided that I want to purchase the Mishimoto Z line intercooler since it's 28x7.5x2.5 total. . . Reason for why i'm getting it? I read somewhere that this size will fit underneath the crash support without any cutting required. Plus it's a Mishimoto brand intercooler that goes for as much as the ebay stuff.

So anyways, My question is, will the Mishimoto intercooler fit the CX Racing piping that's made for a bit of a bigger intercooler? Also, the pipings are made for an inlet and outlet of 3", but they said they will provide the reducers for the mishimoto intercooler (just thought i'd mention that in case the fitment pro's need that kind of detail).

Also, is it true that a 28x7.5x2.5 intercooler will fit underneath the crash support without any cutting? Let me know, thanks in advance everyone!

I have that intercooler. You will need to cut the support to make the cxracing core fit. I don't think there is any way around it. Just check and see what the inlet and outlet diameters are on the mishimoto as compared to the cxracing. If I wasn't 2 hours away from my car I'd run out and measure real quick, but that information should be on their site.

If you can cut a bumper support but still keep it intact, that would be the best. I saw a kouki tonight, with 67mm turbo and a nice size intercooler, with a trimmed but complete support. However his piping was custom.

i believe you could just cut your piping that lead to the intercooler a couple inches or an inch shorter back. and flare the ends for cup links or weld them and that should move the core back from the bumper support abit and you should have to trim the lip of the support. i have an 25x12x3 core and this is my plan.
