im hopin there is a good amount of nissan guys/gals up here, since im moving away from a ton of car buddies down south, we had massive meets weekly and thats one thing im going to miss dearly.

also, how do you guys manage to swing by the emissions tests? im worried that im going to go though hell getting my car on the road, and that i may have to leave it registered in florida.

oh well, just pop in and say hello, this place will feel more like home as soon as i find some new people to cruise with.

OH YEH! is there any 1/4mile tracks in CT? im so use to livin so close to Moroso that its gunna bum me out if i cant go to a track

I'm from the Danbury area and I go to school in Boston, so I am around. And the car meet should happen soon. I don't want to drop this meet. It will be sweet.

Welcome to the Northeast...

word, +1 more sexy S14 coming =). Theres a couple of S13's here in CT with SR so im sure they can help you on your emissions.

Theres really no tracks here in CT which sucks but hey Branford is next to Milford which means your living right next to the 240sx motoring shop. . .your lucky lol

holy crap! i totally overlooked that fact!! imma find it! Down in FL i was a 2hr drive from Enjuku and 2.5hrs from XAT. nice to know i have a lovin shop so close now!

as far as emissions go, im a bit nervous because my car has 0 restrictions, i think ill just wind up keeping the fla tag on it and just mail my insurance to my parents back home.

anyways, thanks for the kind welcomes! i look forward to runnin into each of you in the future.

oh yeh, maybe someone here would know about it, but my cousin was telling me about a highway cruise the import locals like to do? said something about they all line up down the highway and just ride out, we use to have cruises like that back in fla and they were a blast. id love to get in on somehting like that up here.

oh another thing, whats the Boosted population like up here? it seemed like every other car in florida was turbo'd. is it a rare thing up here because of emissions? back when i first did my swap, i was 1 of only 5 in the whole treasure coast, and now, everybody and their mother has an SR there.

it would be nice to have my old investment somewhat uncommon again. (SR, uncommon? hahaha)

damn FL has it good when it comes to cars but yea boost population isnt bad but not on N/A cars. The infamous berlin turnpike is filled with SRT-4's, Subarus, evos, and some supras. Foster (Fiznat), MarkEmark and the 240sxmotoring crew are the only ones I know of that have/had KA-T's and MarkEmark is the only one I know of that ever passed CT emissions lol.

Dont expect much from here, when my fam went to FL for vaca a few years ago everywhere we went I was turning my head from cars going by. There arent as much head turners here in CT. . .for me atleast.

that sucks bro im assuming we share taste in cars because, only tuners ive seen so far, were primered hondas with wings and funny bodykits

im all about the clean car

anyways, yeh was talkin about NA turned boosted, so that kinda sucks. ill miss all the cars down south. honestly, you couldnt go 10miles without hearing some blow off.

since you said you only know one person, i guess i gotta just leave the tag.. damn

so i dont know if im going to bring my car up here

im considering selling it, i dont feel like dealing with emissions and driving in snow.. i think ill just get a cheap truck and a nice bike.

yea im into clean cars. Im actually trying to win the "sleeper" award in local car shows lol. . .so just keeping my car looking stock till I win it.

but yea, i'll ask the SR people up here to see how they get around emissions. . .is your zenki OBDI or II? I think you'll be fine. Only reason why I mentioned Markemark's KA-T is cuz i've never really met anyone who boosted an N/A that had near perfect AF ratio and passing emissions.

and plus we need more 14's up here

ah dont do this to me mannnn. lol. i really want to bring it here, but at the same time dont want to deal with the bs that follows.

i believe mine is II, not sure though

pretty much as it stands.. if i get a decent offer before i get back to fla, then ill sell it. if not, she comes with me

I did a quick search on a local forum. Heres something that might help you out.

http://www.ctdrifting.com/foru...earch

I know of atleast 2 members that ran with SR's in their s13s for a while and they never really paniced when emissions came around. Next time I see them, i'll ask.

When was your car manufactured, if ti was maunfactured after mid 95 you are OBD II and you will have a fun time getting it through emissions. OBDI will pass through the sniffer test.

Also call up the DMV in CT and ask about the salvage title, I had a salvage and had it inspected to pass, and now my title is "clean" again. so there are ways to get the car legal up here.

or you can just not register it here. My military friend has had his Virginia plates since he got out of the navy ~4 years ago. He never wanted to deal with emissions so he never got it registered here.

thats pretty much what im going to do.

if its not sold by the time i go back to florida to get my stuff, ill just keep it registered to my parents house and send the insurance bill to their address.

id hate to sell it, but then again, i wouldnt mind getting a bike and a truck. lets just see what happens..

either way, excess, thank you much for your help..

i didnt read everything but i am moving back home to ct in a few days. I live in west haven and thats like 10 mins from branford. I am leaving my car registered in fl because you will never pass emissions. There is a track in NY that a few of my friends go to. We will deff have to meet up when i move back home.

im about 20 miles away but it takes 2 and 1/2 hours to get there...the whole long island - connecticut being seperated by water thing...annual CIP meet is june 30th if youll be around, im going to try to make that

as far as tracks go, oval is a lot more popular than drag up here, you wont have to go far for oval racing, but to drag youll be driving a few hours

theres also a few road courses in the area if you want to try that out

cool stuff. im still in a hard spot trying to figure out if i truly want to need to sell my car.. its just too much shop time, and in a new area, i dont know anyone here. so shop time is money instead of me and a few friends.

this sucks
