As the 3rd car going thru an intersection after the light turned green, I got broadsided by teenaged street racer that tried to blow thru his red light. I saw him no more than a second before impact. The impact launched my car, spun it completely around before rebounding off a high curb. It all seemed like slow motion. My steering wheel literally went out the side window. My date was pinned in the wreckage for a long time. The fuel tank had ruptured, making rescue slow for the fireman/rescue workers. Fortunately there was no fire. She literally broke every bone in the right side of her body. What a mess. She eventually recovered. I ended up with a concussion, a lot of stitches and a totalled car. Racer Xcrement escaped without a scratch. Fortunately the Fast and Furious wannabe admitted racing to the cops. Of course, there were plenty of witnesses, who and made sure he didn't leave. Needless to say, street racers don't impress me.

Wow Bubba...I would have been inclined to beat him to pieces later...I think I would have been entirely too shocked/worried about the date at the time. It really sucks when someone else is in the car with you when an accident happens, I dont worry about myself but I know when my Blazer rolled I was very worried since it landed on my girlfriends side, luckily she was fine. I can see why you dont like street racers!

Yeah, I feel the same way as you. All I had thought about at the time was helping my gf. She was knocked out cold, which was probably a good thing. The cops filled me in with the details as all I saw were headlights about to enter my passenger door. I didn't actually get to see Speed Racer until later in court, when his father hired a fancy lawyer to try get all the charges dismissed despite a confession and many witnesses. His lawyer failed. Did I tell you I don't care for some lawyers either? We ended up with settlements from his insurance company without suing, but there were never any apologies or hints of remorse... nothin'. In retrospect I'm sure I would have enjoyed "thanking" him with my fists, but it's better I never did. Gad to hear you and your gf survived your crash.

damn bubba, some date, huh?!? Glad the girl recovered, but thats tough man, real tough.

sorry Ben about your pal.

yeo, damn that wreck was worse than mine!!!!

Nathan, sorry dude, but your story is just retarded! Ah, **** happens i suppose, and i've done my share of nonsense!

hitman, your civic survived a crash with a cop car? Damn, those kleenex boxes look tougher than they are!!! What did your coworkers say? LOL

nudemonkdude, seriously, do a spell check man! I'm not trying to be harsh, but your posts are tough to understand.

OK, my story(s) (warning, long)

So I'm driving this girl i WAS dating home, she had an exam the next day, we just came back from dinner after i finished work, and she finished school. Some cum twit in a civic is tailing me the whole way. I allow him to pass, keep changing lanes, but he won't pass me, just keeps tailing. Doing about 130km/hr, so i suppose he likes my pace or something, although we weren't racing. Conjestion up ahead, slam the brakes, he rear ends me, doing a serious drift at over 100km'hr after only owning my s14 for 2 months. Needless to say, slam into the center median head first, air bags deploy and probably saved my dates life, car was a total write off, my insurance only covered liability. 12g's down the drain. The guy who rear ended me took off, and i got a letter a couple months ago saying my ex is now suing me! Some life.

So a month after getting into that accident, I score another s14 at my work for peanuts (although its an entry model, no options really). Rip everything out of my fully loaded s14 and swap it into my current ride. After owning this car for 2 months, I'm leaving work one night. They were doing construction in front of my work place, so my view was obstructed. Anyway, I'm on an elevation, see the coast is clear, procede to creep out, and BAM!!! Out of no where, some mullet dude driving a late 80's iroc smacks into my ride, hitting the drivers side fender and deploying my air bags, right in front of my work!! Damn, lucky for me, witnesses say he was racing a tempest?!? WTF? Anyway, i think that one was only half my fault, but insurance wrote off my ride since the air bags went. Took the money, bought my car back (since damage was only to the front fender, bumper, light, ect, no engine damage). Got some paint, suspension and a couple other things with the payout, just kinda bummed out with this new lawsuit!

drive safely

my ride, before and after

No real big accidents, I hit black ice and demolished a tempo back in the f150 days. Simply pulled my steel bumper out and couldn't even tell there was a wreck, as a matter of fact I sold it to autolines for full value. As for the tempo, well it was a friend of mine and I helped him do a ghetto up job on it and came out pretty nice, technically its a mercury tempo cuz his front was also smashed as well.

lol f150s are "like a rock"... i used to drive one a long time ago and some old immigrant lady ran right into my back while i was stoped at a light...i got out pretty pissed, and it was evident that she didnt have insurance...or prolly a license...anyways her hood was bent all the way up and her front was messed to crap, but NOTHING was wrong with my bumper, not even a scratch. i could find only a little scuff on the hitch. She was scared tho, and kept trying to drive off, saying "you strong boy! you strong! you no hurt!" lol..i let her go, nothing was wrong with my car anyways :)

sophomore year of high school i hit a school bus, with kids in it, too! their was mud on my tires due to parking in the dirt at school (last year for that school due to new one that was built, school had twice as many people in it as it was supposed to) because only seniors and some juniors had spots. it had recently rained and the the exit from the parking lot goes into a ditch, filled with water, and then up to an old road with no school zone, most people went fast on that road. due to that i pulled out and hit the gas (RWD, of course) and fishtailed, hitting a bus in the shared turn lane (three total lanes, middle used for turning left from either direction). i hit the battery cover of the bus and sheered the lock off it. my car at the time, a 92 mustang, sustained a creased hood, broken headlight, broken windshield washer reservoir, and the fender was bent up into half the size it was supposed to be. no injuries sustained, my car was fixed by my dad over that weekend. he heated the fender with a torch and banged it out, along with the hood. new headlight, some bondo and some paint and it looked pretty good, although i never got a new reservoir.
