Could I ask some Q45active owners to do a quick check on their struts. I have carried out a bounce test that is pushing down on the 4 corners of the car and seeing how the struts react. The front ones go down and bounce back and settle immediately. The rear ones seem to have some after bounce. I know on a regular car this means the struts are worn out but I am not sure how an active is supposed to behave. Note I recently changed all 4 strut accumulators so I have plenty of strut travel and the ride is very good.

While I dont own an "a"; a rule of thumb for these cars has always been, that system is good as long as they dont ride harsh.

Both of my Q45a's have a little rebound on the rear. The valving is softer. If you have a little 'no resistance' type first movement, you may have some nitrogen trapped in the top of the struts.

If so, simply crack open the 'brake bleeder' on the top hose fitting ( inside the fender well) and vent the gas.
