just some basic stuff like what I should do to on a tune up and find out whats been working for you. I want to buy some bolt on performance parts but right now I just want to do some general maitenence. future, thinking about an engine rebuild with better internals and a swap to manual transmission. I'm kinda new to this and to 240's so I have a lot to learn. Saving $$$ now so I can have some options later. If you want to call me, my cell is 318-0154

first make sure that youre going to be staying with the KA, and if you are you can do a full tune-up and it will be money well spent instead of a waste of time. decide what youre going to use the car for (autox, drag, daily street car, etc) and start from there. tuneup items would include

plugswiresdist rotor and capfuel filteroil change and oil filteri would say gear oil change also, but if your swapping i wouldnt worry about itcheck out your suspension bushings and dampers and such

if you want, one day you can bring your car by my house or something, and we can check it all out.

oh, and btw, i might be able to get you a hotshot header sometime, my friend has one for the DE and he's going to get rid of it because of turbo.

No actually I work at a ALSTOM Power. It's a warehouse up off willis road, near the UPS hub. On the same road as AED performance. I've tried to make it to the autocross events but I always seem to end up working on my car, something always breaks. Let me in on the next one, aren't they every sunday or other sunday I used to know

Nah, I live off route 10 on moody rd. I've seen that 240 at circuit city though (grey green SE coupe).

Hey marcus, are there any 240 clubs around here?

typically each heat will last 1-2 hours, 1st heat starting at 11-12. so i think its safe to say ill be there till like 3 at least.

i thought moody rd was in burrowsville? No 240 clubs, i just go to events and stuff with my friend alex (92 coupe)

We should meet up sometime that we're both off, I plan to buy some of the tune up stuff at Autozone or Advance Auto within the next week or so. I'll do the best i can, but I'm not in any hurry to be lying in the sun when it's like 100+ degrees outside. Oh yeah , I went into Advance Auto today and was looking at all of the helpful brochures, I felt like an idiot, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Here's a list of the things i'm lookin into:

Changing the Belt's and hosesAir filter ( should I upgrade to an aftermarket intake instead of replacing it and then getting the upgrade?)Spark plugs and wires( Thinking about the Iridium ones K:)>)A new Cap and RotorO2 Sensor ( do you recommend any)Fuel filter (do you recommend any)

Below my rear spoiler on my hatch there are some rust holes (between nickel and quarter size) from something related to my spoiler (The Bolt or it retains water in that area) I was wanting to maybe cut out that part of the metal and get some one to weld a small square of metal back on. Then sand and touch up with paint. some other guy who I was talking to said that I should just cut an outline around the rusted part and just bondo it, then repaint. I'm in favor of the first method but bondo is easier.

Which one do you think is better?

Yeah, seems like a lot to me too, worth it, but a lot

I work 8-4:30 mon-fri.

1. go ahead and get a good intake, if you have the money2.yeah changing the belts and plugs and wires is a good idea, as long as you stick with ngk's youre safe3. I think im using a Bosch 02 sensor4. Napa fuel filters seem pretty quality5. Welding > Bondo

Red S14 SR in West End of Richmond. If anyone needs any help or advice with KA or SR give me an e-mail or call. E-mail is [email protected] or cell 804-314-2263. If I can't help I know someone who can. Or if anyone wants to get together and have a meet with all the 240s in Richmond that would be great.
