There's always been one aesthetic mod that I found particularly attractive - it tightens up the lines of the car and creates a much cleaner look, in my opinion. And I don't see it much. But I do see it on one car in particular: the previous generation Chevy Impala. I'm talking about taillight covers.

Every time I see one of those on the road with that taillight mod, it makes me wish I had them.I want to look into finding someone who'll develop these for the A/C (though I have no idea where to start), that accommodates the design of our taillights (the side-mounted bulbs, the main light, turn signals, and the reverse lights). It might be hard to pull off, but I'd like to see at least some choices.

I'd rather have body-matched taillights than blacked out taillights, but that might just be me.

If I get what you're saying, there is a Blue Coupe (or used to be, anyway) that modded his taillights the way you're talking about. I have no clue how he did it but he had his tails matching the blue of the car except for the holes for the lights to come through.....looked pretty sweet in Blue.....

Which seems like a possible solution, but I don't know if I like the permanence. I think I'd kinda prefer the covers, in the event that I don't end up liking them after a time for whatever reason.

That doesn't look bad, but I don't know. I kinda want to have the covers just to see the difference. Even just the thickness of the plastic over the taillight surface might do something for it that a simple paint-job can't.

I agree, it almost looks cheap. Not that it looks bad, just missing some definition around the cutouts.

IB got some extra scratch laying around? I think I messed with FG enough we could make a mold and make some loot!
