Ive always had great success spraying the paint into the cap to collect, and applying with a small modelling brush. This precludes the need for parts removal or and extensive taping. Just make sure you do this away from the vehicle to prevent overspray mist issues.

The paint dries on contact, so there are no brush marks. I opted for VHT Bright Blue, took about 6 coats and I'm thrilled w the results. I also painted my rotor hubs silver with a broader brush, again w great results for that ultra clean look.

I painted mine with the G2 kit from Ebay. Its a mix of epoxy and paint The results have been great. My one caliper has a chip in it, but it looks like a really big rock hit it. Besides that no flaking what so ever. The key is to really clean the caliper before you apply any paint!

can you post close up pics of yours so i can see how they look? ive never heard of it done this way and would love to do it myself but im somewhat skeptical, no offense, its just ive seen the damage brush strokes can do to a pretty paint job...

This isn't the first time I painted my Calipers but I tried going with the brush method using DupliColor in Black. I got burned here, when I posted it here. :inout:

I wasn't happy with it so I stripped/cleaned it a few months ago and went back to using VHT spray method, I painted it Red to my RAYS Lugs. I put 4 coats and turned out much better.

If you really want it DETAILED and have the time/patients, I would take the Calipers off.
