Has anyone noticed that their calipers have turned an ugly silver color...??? I think that my meguiar's all wheel cleaner messed up the shine on the calipers...
Does anyone's calipers still look bright silver?....especially those ppl living in wintery states/province.....I'm guessing road salt would be a factor as well??

Mine are the same & I live in Dallas. It's probably just a cheap coating they use that comes off easily.

Reason #1077 why I hate Winter!
I was told to avoid Wheel Cleaners, where I got my 5Zigen's. No doubt the Winter/Salt made them even worst.

Yup, happened after I cleaned the wheels once. I bought a caliper paint kit from G2, just have to find the time to paint the calipers...

At least their still silverish! Mine were rusted solid when I purchased my car and I griped with the stealership until they re-painted w/ black heat/rust resistant caliper paint! (best way to go IMO)

yup mine was nice bright silver but not anymore. they turned into a dingy dull silver with lots of stains. Stupid crappy weather! Another reason why I want to move out of the NE area. Anyway, Since I ordered my wheels and tires this week, I decided to paint the calipers. Freaking 30 degrees and I'm out there on the ground painting calipers. Dangeris, you may want to consider wire brushing as much paint off as you can come this summer, and re-paint them. Paint does not bond well to cold surfaces. Usually 65+ F, low humidity, is recommended for painting

I knowit...that's why I had a kerosene torpedo blowing on heat on me and a heat gun to boot to give the paint that "boost" to cure!
