Is the caliper supposed to be extremely hard to turn or is there a problem? i changed brakes, rotors and pads and the inboard pads were almost down to nothing but it took 4ever to get the pistons turned back in, also are these things supposed to wear out in 2 years? Thanx.

Did you take the lid off your brake fluid reservoir?

You need to open the bleeder valve before you try to turn the piston.

idk about that, I didn't need to open it when I changed my pads, but it could help a bit.

Also, pad wear depends largely on what type of pads you are using and how you drive.

i had that same problem so i was like f it and just got new calipers but i think mine were seized

mine was the same way, just took a little longer than expected..that was the only set back..

The front calipers should be "normal" while the rear calipers are different. The rear calipers actually "screw" out and you should depress the piston by turning it counter-clockwise.
