A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I was doing a brake fluid flush and I stripped the caliper bleeder screw on my 2012 Sentra. The dealerships are closed now so I couldn’t buy one. I did have a 2014 Honda Pilot bleeder screw, the threading was the same size and so was the screw length but the hole in the threading was a little smaller. The nipple was also a little bigger too.

The stripped screw is the one in the left.

Should I just buy a new one tomorrow or do you think it will be fine?

If it fits and closes off the cylinder without leaking, you should be fine using it. The angled face at the tip of the screw is important to be the same as well since that is where the screw shuts off the flow. If you're not sure about this, wait till tomorrow if you can and if you insist on OEM. Places like AutoZone and O'Reilly will have matching bleed screws. Those don't need to be OEM.
