California Smog car. Differences?

So I have a 1995 Z32 and looking at the Vin on the Z registry I realized it was bought in California (I live in TN) and is California emissions equipped. My question is does this include any equipment that could be dragging on power? I noticed when I bought the car that the stock H-pipe was replaced by two odd looking can things but the stock mufflers were left in place. I thought this could've been related, but the piping is 2.375 inch so maybe not.

does it still have the factory cats? may have test pipes on it?
