They had to ask the Spanish dude. heh

This isn't anything new. I know people that do this with cars they don't drive often. The article is just talking about adding more policy options for people who choose to go that way. It won't be replacing traditional policies.

I actually kind of like the idea. I work about 1 mile from my house and I have a couple of vehicles that I don't drive much. I could then keep them insured and not have to deal with calling the insurance company every time I wanted to change cars that I was going to use.

It was the multiple-car owner thing I thought was hilarious.

I see this all the time in my area: Why is it that everyone piles into one car at the same time, and the guy owns multiple cars? Well now they have a reason.

I might benefit from such a thing. I usually ride the motorcycle and the truck typically sees more weekend use as I do more stuff. Our CRX also gets used like once a week. Depends on implementation but I'm all for it if there is the potential to save me some money.

You know how sometimes you see something that just fits a stereotype perfectly? A year or so ago I saw literally 5-6 mexicans in a single cab f150 truck sitting on tiny wire wheels. I don't want that to come off as racist I am not. White people have just as many of the stereotypes. But I would have killed for a camara. It just cracks me up when you see something that totally fits one. I am from southwest missouri believe me there are more white trash hillbilly rednecks here than anywhere else in the country. If you wanted to find a backwoods butt junky that fits the profile from "Deliverance" all you have to do is go to walmart.

Being that I average around 1200 miles/yr on the s2000 (which the new owner still has not picked up) this would have been a great policy for me! I paid around $140/mo which is $1.40/mile! If they could have put together a plan for anything less, I would have saved money.
