california engine or not

I am looking to find out if my engine is a california engine or not? Its a 2000 nissan maxima.How do i identify it. Thanks in advance!

There will not be an O2 sensor behind the catalytic converter if it has Cali emissions.

That was easy enough! thank you again. I also have a follow up question.Is anything else different on the engine itself between a cali. and a non cali. Reason why im asking is because i want to do an engine replacement and i have a non cali car but found 24 cali engines and only 7 non cali engines and i live in massachusetts.I can get a cali engine for 400$ and a non cali engine for 850$ both with 60,000 miles on them. I believe that is the only difference.
