Alright I should of seen this but I just learned that almost all turbo kits are CARB illegal. I still want one but I'll have to take it off every 2 years for smog. (should anyways for inspection) and put it back on.

But what are the chances that a police officers is going to "pop my hood" and what will the fix it ticked cost be?

ill be driving a pretty low profile s14. quiet bUt noticable exaust...nothing to flashy.

1.should I install a turbo?

If you're going to be paranoid about it, don't do it. It'll ruin all the fun of the car and you'll be miserable.

I don't know about Cali at all, but I have a friend with a SR20DET swap, some upgrades, a fast little bugger. Has a super quiet exhaust, to the point you have no idea. Sounds like a stock car.

The trick is to no make it known. No crazy lights that will get you pulled over, sup loud exhaust, blowing off every 3 seconds.

hide the intercooler, paint it black, use a side mount.
