I'm planning on modding my V, I'm thinking that the first step is adding a strut bar and the AEM CAI that most of you recommend. However, I do not like to race in my V, nor think that this vehicle is designed to do so. Anyway, I'm thinking about the CAI because of the enhanced performance and increased MPG that might provide. But I'm concerned about the noise that this system would generate compared to having only the stock airflow. So, I guess that my question is: Would my V be much louder with the CAI than without it??

P.S. I'm not a teenager anymore and I don't really want that anyone around the neighborhood know exactly when do I leave home and when I arrive due to the noise of my car

Its only loud when you get on it.....otherwise its barely noticable. I have the Fujita CAI and think it is well worth the $$$......I'm 36 and no issue with it here

I haven't heard a CAI on the Versa, but I'd assume that the sound difference would be more pronounced inside the car rather than outside. Plus, the sound difference will only be more pronounced at higher RPMs, when the engine is really taking in a lot of air. At "neighborhood" speeds, it isn't going to be much different.

I have the AEM CAI and it really makes a difference. It makes merging on the highway much easier There is an increase in the noise, but as was said above, it is only if you stomp on the pedal, otherwise the engine stays quiet.

I have a AEM CAI, and mine is a 6speed, but its only loud if you go above 3,000 RPM's. It kicks in right after 3000 so unless you go above that there will be no issues
