CAI problims

i put a CAI on my car this summer and im havin trulbe geting it to start up. its not like the car wont turn over its more like im gettin to much air and know that its getting cold it dosnt want to run at all i have to keep my foot on the gas till the moter worms up i was just wondering if any one else has had this problim and what they did to salve it

is there a CEL on. if there is get it read it out.

I don't think it is the CAI. I think you have a problem with the Idle air control valve (IACV). It could be the swirl air controller, but IACV seems more likely.

Yeah, idle control valve sounds right to me. No way your CAI would do that. I've had my CAI for over 3 years now and never had it do anything close to that.
