Well after I got done lowering the car I decided to do the TB bypass. That was such a easy mod. I also study the CAI and the stock unit is by far the best unit Ive seen on any car besides a Vette. It has the air duct from the grille to the box and it is shielded from the heat. The only thing I didnt like about it was the silencer in the fender. That is what I remove and I got some ABS plastic and covered the hole in the bottom of the box and remove the silencer from the intake tube itself. I dont see how any aftermarket is any better than the stock one unless the filter stops right at the air duct from the grille. I think Ken set up is like this. But seem like the aftermarkets goes down the fender. There is no place for air to enter unless you remove the foglight. I may find a tube that is smooth to replace the OEM unit that goes from the box to the TB to smooth the air going in. Other than that Im staying stock with the CAI.SOTP feel is not really notice until you get on the highway and throttle response is ALOT better and takes less throttle for passing. Also when at the light take off seem to get a little better. Cant really tell anything got better in mid range at all. Mileage I picked up 1.5 and with cruise it went up 2. Not bad for free mods. Now if I could just my wheels to ship and my Megan exhaust.

Yeah if you look at the red box from Kens link that is the part I removed and the #9 part. I may try what Ken done by adding a cone filter. Ken care to share a pic of that one?
