Alright guys this might be a dumb question but on my oe airbox there is a little metal sensor, and on my CAI there isn't a whole for one do I a. drill a whole in it and install or b. do I just leave it plugged in connect it to my CAI?

this is your Intake Air Temperature sensor. drill a hole and plug it in with a rubber gromet. since you're getting a cai and might be drilling a hole for the iat drill another and get an air temp sensor and gauge - you'll know if the air in your intake is really cool like...the fonz

dont waste your money on the extra gauge. depending on what cai you have drill the hole as close to the filter as possible. if needed solder i repeat solder not butt connect or just electrical tape extra wire to reach the location. the closer to the air inlet the lower the air pressure and cooler the air is you will get better performance. done it on every efi car i have ever owned.
