I was wondering why, no one puts an extention on there intake under the engine bay near the IC pipes (and on the JDM front end there is a duct that sucks in cold air from outside) If the 20degrees = like what 3 hp or something the air from outside is about 4 times cooler than the air in the engine bay exp. with turbo engine where everyhing gets hot under there. Even though the air has to go though the singing hot turbo wouldnt it matain some sort of cooler tempature comapred to under hood air? just a thought since im not using the stock sidemount.

Theres no reason to have a CAI with an Intercooler, because you can't cool any cooler than ambient.

Intercooler usally unless its very cold outside cannot cool to ambeint tempature, there is simplay not enough time for the air is in there to have cooled down that much, but I figure there must be some gains involed since all the tuners IE signal use metal to separate the intake from the rest of the engine bay.

Yeah, but that's for ambient heat, it's not so much for cold air...

you'd be better offf, ditching the Mafs, attaching the filter directly to the turbo inlet, and running some spray into the intercooler.....dont play around, ; )
