I have a 2006 Altima 2.5 and I was on my way from Arizona to California and my SES light came on when I turned my car back on when stopped for food in Yuma...I took it to auto zone and it was the p2a00 code which is the Air fuel sensor bad. I had them clear the code, and 40 mins later it came on again. I checked my K&N Intake and it is screwed on tight and seems to be on and working properly. Keep in mind, I installed this Intake about 3-4 months ago, and about 6 Months ago my A/F Sensor went out and I took to nissan and they fixed for free. When I take it back into Nissan when back in Arizona, I don't want them to blame my CAI for the reason of the A/F Sensor going bad.... What do you guys think?

if you want to be safe, otherwise show them the card that came with the K&N intake that talks about how it doesn't void any sort of warranty and the like

Absolutely! Put back your stock intake as to not give the dealer any ammo to tell you that it was the intake that caused the problem.

what card???

maybe should have looked thru all those papers instead of just rummaging and installing the intake.

Stealerships sucks and will look for any opportunity to not make good on their end of the deal....

Mine came with a small postcard like thing that pretty much said that K&N intake works fine with the car and if the dealership has any problems they should call the 800 number on the card. At least that's what I remember it saying. Haven't looked at the darn thing since I installed the intake and threw the card into the glove compartment.

^^^^^^^^^^^

i saw some bs video about k&n and their testing, and how they will take the part the dealership said was faulty and test it for you. or something like that, to determine the problem.

Those cats are shady and i dont trust them one bit. I gotta get my ebrake and my passengerairbag sensor fixed and i dont wanna take my car in with the short throw shifter or the intake installed. I think they will flag the car or something like that.

Always better to be safe than sorry. Not looking forward to having to put the intake back to stock though if I ever had to. I'm lazy enough that I might take the chance Here's hoping I don't have to do that

Ok When I got back in Gila Bend, Arizona to stop and get food. The SES light went off, and has been off for days now. Nissan said just leave it and if it comes back on then obviously take it in.

Thanks
