What does the cabin filter do for the car...when shoould it be replaced & how difficult is it for a 2005 Maxima

Filters the fresh incoming air. Check your owners manual for replacement recommendations, I just did mine on my 01 I30, since I figured it hadden't been done. The filter on mine is hidden behind the glove box. I think it took all of 30 minutes to do.--Mike
