Replaced my cabin air filter with a Wix filter that had a directional arrow. I put the filter in with the arrow pointing to the back of the car. The factory filter had no directional arrow. Did I guess wrong? The car is 1 yr old with 7600 miles and the filter was practically new. i plan on changing every 2yr.

Yup, that is the correct direction.

I just did mine a few months ago and it was pretty obvious... the dirty side was facing the front of the car so the airflow is from front to rear.

Thanks for the reply. Mine was not that dirty. You could not tell the front from the back on the old one by looking.

How difficult is it to reach the filter? In my 2007 Alitma you either have to contort in the passenger footwell and grope around blind to get the filter in/out or remove the entire glove box to have easier access.

Are there walk-throughs (with or without photos) I should search for in this forum?

Yes, there is a step-by-step with photos. The link is in the Official Rogue FAQ sticky at the top of the forum. Here is the direct link to get you started:

Cabin Air Filter Replacement

It's a PITA to replace by the way. Lots of contorting and some choice words might be uttered. But at least you only have to change it once a year.
