Nissan says it is going to cost $1,700 to replace drivers seat cover! Cabernet (orange) color. The problem is on the sides, which is actually vinyl, not leather. Learned that the leather is on the seat bottom and top only (where you sit). I have 2 areas, both small (4" X 4") to be replaced. One on bottom left and one on top right side of the seat. How do I find a wrecked car with this color? I already tried auto upholsterers; they cannot match it.Anyone have ideas about how to find this specific item from salvage?Thank you!

I think your best bet is to keep calling as many salvage yards as you can, asking for exactly what you need. I don't know that there really is an easier way. Good luck!

Keep an eye on the sides of your leather seat cushions. My 09 Murano seat cushion on the drivers side is cracking. Off to the dealer to complain.

Not that it's any consolation at all, and I'm sure all you Murano owners know this already, but it seems that nearly all the seat edges crack. I searched online for months for my used 2006 Murano (just bought it 2wks ago) and I'd say 95% of them had cracked edges, the vinyl part of the seat bottom. I will admit that I chose my car b/c it had only 27k miles on it and the seat looked to be in good condition but I'm sure I'll do a number on the seat on my own.
