I just found a 200sx in my area with 130k miles on it....at the moment i own a 240sx and since i know more about sr's and ka's than ca's i thought i'd ask the experts....this 200 has a Ca20e in it...do u think i'st worth looking at for a potential project? or should i not even bother

thanks!

If its in great condition, get it and swap it. The motor is basically crap.

hey, i just remembered, if anyone is interested i found a 200sx here in a junkyard. sure its in a junkyard but i was very surprised to see how clean it was. it has been sitting so its really dirty on the outside, but it looks like the paint might buff out very nicely. perfect interior, dash isnt cracked nor the glass, never wrecked, all original. and the guy who owns the place owes me a favor.. has the ca20e but we all know that would never stay long. id love this car but i have absolutley no room or need for it. thought i'd let you guys know. oh! and its an alabama car so rust is quite literally nonexistant.

The CA20 has potential, lose the old lady-leg con rods and the SOHC head.

how much u think i should offer for a 200sx in the shape it's in (looks like it's been in a minor accident in the front, probably been sitting in the junkyard for 2 months...it does run but the interior is in really bad shape) i was kinda lookin at it as a beater something to get me around if the 240 goes into the shop or when i rebuild the engine, etc. thanks

not much...offer the guy something insanely low and keep at it until you reach a compromise.. i dont think over 1000 bucks. id check with these guys though, im not too "in the know" as far as car value goes.. also check the blue book website.

unless youre rich! (im sure not). being from a junkyard the fag probably wants a ton of money for it too. i say it would be worth it if you plan on building a ca20det for it. if not, let it go, buy something cheap, reliable and crappy that will be a whole lot of fun (like a 86 tercel or crx or something). you could run one of those into a tree and get out and laugh, i doubt you would with the 200sx since theyre so hard to find.
