Any help is appreciated!

You said pick, so mean the tube that connects to the oil pump, right? If so, I would guess that it doesn't. Unless you are messing with a FWD CA18, but if that's the case get one from a pulsar that already has a CA18.

Can I ask for a little more info as to why you're trying to use a CA20 pickup?

while we're on the topic.

Will a CA20 flywheel fit a CA18 engine?

Anyone ever tried this? I figured there wouldn't be that much of a difference

it would, except that CA18 cranks have an 8 bolt pattern for the flywheel, CA20 cranks use a 6 bolt pattern, so its a no-go

Reason I am asking is I need a new one and I can get a CA20 one for $5 but if I buy a CA18 one its gonna cost $50 - $100

I have the CA20 one here and have noted two differences but do not think they are a major issue.

1) The bracket on the CA20 is completley different to the CA18 pickup. I have never used the bracket and my last pick up had the bracket cut off so I can just cut the bracket off and connect it with the two bolts to the oil pump.

2) The CA18 has a circle indented around the pipe hole at the flange that a rubber o ring sits in. The CA20 does not have this and is just completley flat and has a gasket covering the surface area of the flange.

Other than that the flange that joins the pipe to the oil pump is exactly the same size as well as the diameter of the pipe.

Do you think given these two things it would be okay to use?

The oil feed line is a heck of a thing to cheap out on. I'd get the correct on if I were you....

I do not disagree but if the only difference is an oring and everything else matches up where is the issue?
