I'm new so don't blast me....

I found a RWD CA18ET for pennies (literally) and was wondering if anyone has been able to swap one successfully into a Pulsar NX? Thought it would be different since my old one had a E16S in it.... Waiting to hear some good news from you gurus out there.

It's not worth it, even if you got the thing for pennies. If you want it done right, use the CA18DET or at least a CA18DE. Too much of a headache that's not worth the gains.

Well now I have an engine with nothing to do with it.... I saw a thread over on nissanforums where a guy actually used this engine with a ca18de transmission and it worked. Just wanted to be different. Oh well I guess I can part it out then. Thanks for the help and support

your likely to find a few options on club-s12.org for your engine as that was a standard package setup for the 200sx in the mid 80's

just for grins and giggles what are you looking for as far as cost on the engine and what kinda miles are on it?

my zip is 24503 for a shippign quote if youd like to check

god no... please dont.

An SE pulsar is about the same speed as an S12 with the ET (125hp vs 135hp, weight plays the factor) Just find turbo E15 stuff.

also, to make that swap... u will basically need a donor SE pulsar car, because everything is different.
