I had this question in the CA forum, but I thought that I would put it here too just in case anybody had some other ideas. I just swapped my CA into my '89 coupe and the car wont turn over when I turn the key. The electronics come on and the fuel pump makes noise, but the starter doesnt move. I can get the car to turn over by bridging a connection from the positive battery terminal to the starter solonoid, so the starter is okay. I'm really confused and I'm actually going to take the car into the dealership to have it worked on if I can't figure out what is wrong.

Thanks,Mike

has it ever run? i have seen many sr swaps with this same problem. in fact i had it too. the start signal has to get from the ign cyl to the starter solenoid. try to find out if there is any connection going on there. if it was automatic before you have to make a connection on your own. if its manual then you prob have a connection through the stock starter relay. that is a common failure. its the blue relay that is on the firewall or the fender with two connectors coming from the bottom.
