Hi everyone, i new to the forums. i was just wondering if anyone new where i could find info on wiring in the CA18det harness. I have a 90 240sx. I'm sure lots of you have done this before so any info would help alot. Please let me know so i can finish my swap. thanks.

Heavythrottle.com has a writeup for the sr wiring, which is almost identical to ours. Or you could send it off to someone and have them do it. Check the sticky's up top, theres quite a bit of wiring info there.

th ca and sr wiring processes are the exact same. check on heavy throttle and follow that exactly, if you need more help, hit me up on aim. azlehornetrunner

Hey thanks for the info. I'll check it out and for any reason i have question i'll keep you in mind. also i have a buddy of mine that has a 89 240sx. wants to go with the same setup as me but his is an Automatic and idea i how to make the five speed conversion? What is needed? Thanks!

I had another question does the CA18 ECU fit onto the KA ECU adapter? How can you tell the Difference between the CA harness and the KA harness?

No it does not fit. The CA plug is specific. And you can tell the difference because the CA harness has the AC plug on it in addition to totally different plugs for the various components.

What wires are the ones that need to be extended in the ca18det harness? And what part of the kA harness will i be needing? Any help aould really help. thanks

Some of the wires that come off the ca harness at the ecu. They might have a plug, might not. YOU NEED TO USE THE plug in the same place from the KA harness. Lengthen those wires if you cut it to short on the connector from the ka harness and get your soldering going. most colors are the sam and some aren't.

maf and power steering wires need to be extended.
